Dan Lawlor

Dan Lawlor is a seasoned Human Resources executive and Professional Certified Coach with over three decades of transformative leadership in the Life Sciences industry. Known for his pragmatic approach and deep emotional intelligence, Dan has held pivotal roles including Senior Vice President at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where he led strategic HR initiatives across North America and global divisions. His work has consistently aligned HR strategy with business priorities, fostering high-performance cultures and resilient leadership teams.

 

At Teva, Dan spearheaded major organizational transformations and crisis management strategies, including a three-year restructuring plan, site consolidations, and the Covid-19 response strategy. In the post-restructuring and Covid aftermath, he played a key role in the talent strategy activation, emphasizing diversity, wellbeing, and succession planning. As Global HR Lead for Teva’s Specialty and Generic Medicines Commercial divisions, Dan managed a global team and led the people workstream for the integration of Actavis, a multi-billion-dollar acquisition, serving as the main architect of the organizational design and internal selection processes.  Post-acquisition, he spearheaded work with the global commercial team on harmonizing policies and practices, navigating complex matrix environments across regions to enhance performance and culture. His leadership extended to mentoring through Teva’s LEAP program and executive coaching during times of change.

 

Dan’s career also includes impactful roles at Cephalon, Purdue Pharma, and AstraZeneca, where he supported Operations, R&D, and HQ Staff functions. His broad HR experience spans Total Rewards, HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, Organizational Development, and Coaching.  In 2024, he founded Lawlor HR Consultancy & Coaching, LLC, to empower individuals and organizations through tailored coaching and advisory services.

 

Dan holds an MBA in Finance and Investments from Drexel University and a BS in Human Resources/Labor Relations from LaSalle University. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through Columbia University’s 3CP program, and a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). He is also trained in tools such as MBTI, DISC, LINC personality profiler, and Voices 360.
